How to plan a corporate hat bar (a planner's checklist)

Planning a corporate hat bar is mostly about four things: space, power, timeline, and headcount. Get those right and the day runs itself. Here's the checklist we walk clients through before an all-hands or client night.

Space. A single station needs roughly a 10x10 footprint for the cap wall, press table, and a small queue. Put it somewhere with natural flow — near the bar, the entrance, or a break area — so people drift over between sessions instead of making a special trip.

Power. Heat presses draw real current. A standard dedicated 20-amp circuit per station is the safe default; we confirm the venue's drops during planning so nothing trips mid-event. This is the one logistics detail worth nailing down early with your venue.

Timeline. Decide the window the bar is open and where it falls in your agenda. Two to three hours is typical for a corporate event, and it should be busiest during a break, not during the keynote. We handle setup before doors and teardown after, so your run-of-show only needs the open hours.

Headcount and throughput. Estimate how many guests will want a hat and when. One station does 40–60 per hour; if you expect a rush, we add stations so nobody waits more than a few minutes.
